Shishapangma south Face Expedition

Shishapangma is the youngest mountain among the 8000m high Himalayas of the World. It was first climb by British climbers Doug Scott, Alex MacIntyre and Roger - Baxter Jones 20 years ago. Many climbers are following their same routes as yet while climbing on this mountain; and also they use their own different route as well.

From Kathmandu; by minibus you can reach to the Nepal-Tibet boarder. Then after completing all of your visa procedures; on the same day you can reach to Zhangmu for the night halt.

On the second day you reach to Nyalam. On the next day you should take rest for acclimatization. Our staffs prepare the required gears for your further journey there.

TentsAfter walking 2 days from Nyalam now you can reach to Shishapangma South Base camp. Again one day you should take here rest for acclimatization. Then after walking two days from Base camp you reach to Advance Base camp and this camp remains there until finishing your whole expedition journey.

Camp 1: 6400m. After hard climbing you can reach to Punngpa Ri which can be said the camp 1. The surface is 55- 60 % vertical ice slop elevation here. Some times it becomes very hard situation here because of heavy snows-rock fall for which you have to use helmet for the protection. From Base camp, we most are starting to climb about 2 AM in night for secure rock and snow falling. Rock and snow falling part is from Base camp-to-camp 1.

Camp 2. 7000m. After many hours continuous climbing you reach in the behind the second narrow rocky tower, which can be call camp two for your rest. This camp situated little bit in a dangerous place because it is under a serac. So is up to you where the fix your camp or further ahead.

Camp 03 – 7500m. From Camp 2 it is very easy climbing to reach cam 3 which is which is approximately at high of 7500m. And if the day is clear and sunny you can feel very warm there though you are on the snowy mountain.

Summit day of South Face of Shishapangma

From here in the mid night you should start the climbing by the morning you can reach on the TOP of summit. This day is little bit difficult then the previous two days but you will feel the experience of unknown from where you are coming. There are many glaciers on your way. After reaching on the TOP, you feel very romantic and happy by looking down the enchanted sceneries around the places. It really awful

Shishapangma is certainly located in the Himalayan range like the best place of the World. The Annapurna & Manaslu is located on its west, The Jugle, Langtang, Ganesh Himal in the South, Cho Oyu, Everest and Makalu in the East and vast Tibetan plateau with the holy mount Kailash is situated directly on its North. Shishapangma climbing is really a magnificent and wonderful which reminiscences will last you forever. On your way back you are suggested to descend via your own previous climbing routes.

Climbing Sherpa for Himalayan:

Many climbers avoid Sherpa guides for the climbing, so because of this, they have been found to facing many hindrances on their way. If you take Sherpas along with you on the expedition, they are very useful in your each and every step of support, which makes your climbing easier to restore your strained energy; and it gives you vigorous strength for your next day’s climbing.
