Cho La pass trek with Gokyo Lake is probably the longest and most adventurous treks in Everest region. The trek makes a complete circuit of the Everest trekking route touching Gokyo valley and then later descending to Khumbu valley. All the major spots along the famous Everest trekking route are visited during this trek including visit to Namche and Thyanboche and hike to Kalapather and Everest Base Camp.

The trek begins from Lukla and goes through Everest National park, a world heritage site, known for rare wildlife such as snow leopard and Himalayan Thar. The trail to blue Gokyo Lake followed by a climbing of Gokyo RI at an altitude of 5357m. offers splendid views of Cho Oyu, Makalu, Everest, Lhotse and Kangtega. The crossing of Cho La pass (5368m) will lead you to Gorkshep and from there take a long hike to Kalapather to see the most spectacular view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Island peak and Khumbu glacier. The visit to Everest Base Camp further offers a towering view of the South face of Mt. Everest.

From here he will drop down to Namche Bazar via Dingboche, Pangboche and Thyanboche Monastery, which is the biggest monastery on this side of the Himalaya. It provides an unforgettable beautiful view of Mt. Ama Dablam (6812m.). A day's walk from Namche will reach you to Lukla from where you will take a flight back to Kathmandu.
