Most of the beautiful peaks lie in the heart in mountain peoples of Sherpa World. We follow the classic Everest approach through the Solu Khumbu. Namche Bazaar is veering is the initial point to Everest base camp. We will enter the magnificent Gokyo valley after crossing Chhukuma La at 6189m. Mount Imja Tse (6160m) is a very popular trekking peak also known as Island peak, which was named by Eric Shipton's party in 1953, as the peak resembles an Island in a seas of Ice when viewed from Dingboche village. The peak was re-named as Imja Tse in 1983. The Island peak was first ascended by a British team in 1953 as preparation for climb Everest. Mr. Tenzing Norgay Sherpa was one of the team members who successfully climbed to its peak. Island peak is part of the south ridge of mount Lhotse and Lhotse Shar & mail forms a semicircle of cliffs that rise to the north of summit of Mount Nuptse, Lhotse Shar & Makalu lie to the east of the Island peak & mount Baruntse & Ama Dablam.

We attempt the Island peak after one night at the high camp perched on the South West Ridge. Vistas of the Khumbu can be seen from here. On the way of it while descending to base came, you can click the amazing picture of Chhukung valleys' landscape. As Island Peak is very easy and common, most of visitor from different corner of the world are eager to climb it. We can see vistas of Himalayas of Mount Everest 8848m, Mount Makalu 8463m. Mount Lhote 8516m (Over 8,000m) and many other beautiful mountains from there. Our journey comes to an end at Lukla airstrip then we fly back to Kathmandu.
