Mount Kailash Inner and Outer Kora Yatra offers visitors an unforgettable spiritual and adventurous experience. There is a closer view of Mount Kailash when you walk the Inner Kora, a challenging one-day trail. It takes around five days to circumambulate the Outer Kora, which is a longer, more accessible trail. The Monterosa Treks and Expeditions company offers a wonderful trip to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet in China, in August due to the dry and mild weather. It is 3650 meters above sea level and is adorned with many ancient, historic and artistic monuments, buildings and palaces such as the ancient Potala Palace, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery, Zokhang Temple and Norbulunka. Flying from Kathmandu to Gonggar Airport at Lhasa takes one hour, and you can see the Himalayan ranges, including Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. The flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa takes one hour, and you can see the Himalayan ranges, including Mount Everest.
Nandi Kora is quite difficult as anyone needs to be very fit for walking and rock climbing near the Saptrishi cave. Saptrishi Cave and 13 Chhurten can be seen from here. After 10 minutes of steep climbing, we can see Serlung Checksum La pass 5858m Mountain guides are needed for this trip to fix ropes and carry emergency oxygen for the Yatri / travelers so that they can easily reach the pass. We will circumambulate Nandi Parvat and then return back to Serlung Gompa before continuing on to Darchen, where we will spend the night. There are 13 kilometers between Serlung Gompa, Saptrishi Cave, Atma Lingam, and Nandi Parikrama. It is said that a person who moves Nandi once, gets the merit of rotating Kailash Parvat 13 times.
Lake Manasarovar: The holy Kailash Parbat, located 58 meters below, is another important pilgrimage site in the Kailash region. In Sanskrit, Manas means mind and Sarovar means lake. The lake is located at an elevation of 4580 meters above sea level. In this sense, it is frequently referred to as the Lake of Consciousness as Mount Kailash; this lake has a long religious and spiritual connection to both Hindus and Buddhists. Hindus describe it as the bathing lake of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Buddha meditated nearby this lake to obtain enlightenment, which is the reality of life, according to Buddhist belief. A dip into the cold, emerald waters of this lake is believed to take a person to heaven after death. The holy bath and rotation of the lake are believed to wash away the sins of 100 births and give salvation. Mokshya, an escape from the endless cycle of birth-death-rebirth of monstrous existence. It is one of the most sacred places on earth, and every individual has a desire to visit it at least once in their lifetime. We highly recommend Monterosa for this year's purgatories. If you are interested in booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Om Namoh Shivaya.

- 14 July 2025 Day 12: It takes pilgrims four hours (4kms) to reach Mount Kailash touch known as Charan Sparsh, from Dirapuk. Kailash Mountain's base is like touching Lord Shiva's feet, so pilgrims perform Pooja to seek Lord Shiva's blessings. The trip back to Dirapuk takes approximately one and a half to two hours, and it is a day tour. "Charan" means "foot" and "Sparsh" means "touch".
Together, these words mean "to touch one's feet". Touching Kailash Parbat's feet is a tradition that dates back thousands of years. "Charan Sparsh" has a scientific basis, as the human body releases vibrations touching the feet, which encourage the flow of energy and blessings, happiness and success. As a result of this exchange of energy, one gains vigor, self-confidence and contentment. It is like receiving invisible blessings after "Charan Sparsh". - 15 July 2025 Day 13: Dirapuk – Kuber Kund – Zuthulpuk: The distance of Shivasthal to the basement of Khangde Shangla Pass 5,675m. Another 10 minutes' walk approaches you to see Kuber Kund [lake]. If you want to feel or receive holy water of Kuber Kund or pay homage you need to turn right from the normal route. Mt. Kuber and Kuber Kund are the best places for pilgrims’ ecstasy in the region. After getting down from Kuber Kund the road is connected with Dolma La or Dorma La that leads to reach to Zuthulpuk. You can also have chance to see the top of Mt. Kailash from Southwestern side from here which is the last location for it.
Usually, pilgrims and tourists reach to Chiu Gompa that is located near Manasarovar Lake via Darchen. Having mountain guide and oxygen is essential for this trip.
