From the south-west ridge of Mount Ama Dablam, one ascends the mountain. Beginners to mountaineering usually start their climb on Mount Ama Dablam, 6812 meters high, a small snow-capped peak in the Everest region. The South-West ridge is the most popular route to ascend Mount Ama Dablam, which is considered the most technical mountain in the world. On their climbing route, the mountaineers have to cross difficult ice rocks and steep snow slopes. From base camp, climbers must pass the toughest and the most difficult sections, then turn north climbing through the rocky ground and boulder fields to reach the first camp. We are now in Camp I. From Camp I, we must cross the rocky bowl and climb the ridge via the fixed lines to Camp II. You reach Camp 2 after crossing over severe rocks and ridges after crossing Camp II. Rock, ice, and snow alleyways make up most of the climbing route from Camp II. From the slope, the route climbs to the snow ground and then passes through a steep snow and ice tunnel before continuing to Camp III. From here to the summit, a steep climb leads to the right of a huge hanging glacier. At the top of Mount Ama Dablam, you will see Mount Everest 8848 m, Lhotse 8516 m, Island Peak 8463 m, Makalu 8463 m, Khumbu Himalayan and other mountains that are snowcapped.
Information for Island peak: The majority of summits are located in the heart of Sherpa World. By veering off the trail to Everest base camp, we follow the classic Everest approach through Solu Khumbu and Namche Bazaar. After crossing Chhukuma La at 6183m, we will enter the magnificent Gokyo valleys, a land of high altitude lakes and icy glaciers (besides going to Gokyo valley and Chhukuma La Pass, you should go towards Everest base camp as well). As we approach Everest base camp at 17,575ft, we will pass the Khumbu glacier, where you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view from Kala Patthar, which is situated at 18,192ft (5,545m). The route descends to Dingboche and continues to the Chukkung valley and Island Base Camp (Imja Tse). After spending a night at the high camp perched on the South West Ridge, we attempt the summit of 20,305ft. Khumbu's magnificent vistas can be seen from here. During the descent to the base, there is the opportunity to take pictures of the Chukkung valley's landscape. This makes Island Peak a very popular destination for many visitors around the world. You can see Mount Everest, Mount Makalu, Mount Lhotse (more than 8,000m.), as well as many other mountains in the Himalayas. As soon as you arrive at Lukla airstrip, you will fly back to Kathmandu.
