The beautiful mountain Baruntse is situated 7129 meters above sea level on the lap of Mount Everest and Mount Makalu. First climbed by Colin Todd and Geoff Harrow on 30 May 1954, this mountain has been ascended by a number of climbers over the years. Similarly, to Mount Pumori, Ama Dablam and Mount Everest, this mountain is also becoming an increasingly popularity destination. Baruntse's south-east ridge has steep sections of 50 Degrees' elevation with a prominent ice cliff to climb facing the risk of avalanche. It is safe to go on an expedition during the spring season, but climbers also go on expeditions during the autumn season.

The Monterosa Treks and Expedition has been coordinating the Mount Baruntse itinerary, which consists of a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by approximately 11 days trekking to Baruntse Base Camp. To return from Lukla to Kathmandu, we use the same route we used for the trek. Located at an elevation of 5200 meters, Baruntse's Base Camp is very nearby Pancha Pokhari. Baruntse Mountain can be reached via Arun valley via Makalu Base Camp.
